Brief Hijack guys, sorry. But are any of you in Palm Beach County/Boca Raton? Does the name Jim/James Marinakis mean anything to you? I sold him a horse of mine last year and now find out this: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/co...tlid=inform_sr
To say the least I'm horrified and have sent him an email to buy the mare back. I tried to call him but his phone is disconnected. I'll be trying to contact Palm Beach County Animal Control tomorrow to see if they can tell me anything about the mare I sold. It's just killing me to know she is now in this kind of a situation.

I don't know the guy, but recall reading about the situation a couple of months ago. I found a more current article on the court case and it appears he was allowed to keep a horse, don't know if it's the same one though.

Thanks Charley for that. At least it sounds like the county is monitoring the situation. Maybe the guy will respond and sell me the horse back, I sure hope so, but "collector" types like that are generally wacko. We'll see. Would love it if someone could ride by the place and tell me what the horses look like condition-wise.
