Stopped for the night at Looe Key resorts on Ramrod Key. My wife doesn't like this place ("Too funky for your wife, too funky for your wife" she sings as she dances in, then out of the room). Apparantly too funky for Tom too. I only saw one roach.

Arrive at MM 0

Breakfast at Malory Square, notice Tom's proper pinkie technique.

Fish, you ain't right. That's why I like you.

You never know what you will get with Fish. Thanks for everything. Looks like you extended the rally all the way to the keys. Glad you have a good time.

We hit the Tamiami Trail about dark. About an hour into the ride I notice Tom weaving from line to line. I pulled up along side him to see if he was falling asleep and he slowed down abruptly and stopped. I did a u-turn and pulled behind him and clicked on my emergency flashers. By then Tom had found the problem, his rear tire was flat.

We eased forward onto the grass shoulder and located the cause. A roofing nail. I got out my Stop and Go tire plug kit, and reading the instructions and holding the light, "we" got the tire plugged and aired up in about 30 minutes.

Meantime cars and trucks are whizzing past at 70 mph, some not even merging into the left lane. One bike came by, a geezer glide like Tom's, he slowed, wobbled then accelerated on. We didn't see any gators, Chris. But when Tom peed over the guard rail, a bullfrog called back to him.

My battery drained pretty severly with the flashers and light on wouldn't start. We had to push start Mona, 3rd time was the charm. Tom in a breathless hollar, "make sure...2nd gear, 2nd gear".

Arrived in Naples about 9:30 pm and the next morning the Harley shop had us on the road by noon with a new rear tire.

Naw, just a good sous-chef. I read the instructions, while Tom did the work.
