RE: What the hell Biketoberfest...
Just got home from Daytona a little while ago myself, sorry I missed everyone at 1of2's house. I was having some custom paint work done on my fairing and I didn't get my bike back till about 2 pm yesterday. By then I was burnt out on Bruce Rossmeyers so I headed to the in-laws for a siesta and then went back down to main street. I'll post a pic of the paint I had done later today. Hope everyone has a safe trip back.

RE: What the hell Biketoberfest...
I had a GREAT time. I loved every minute of it. There is something about seeing hundreds of bikes on the road at one time. Special lanes for bikes. Special parking for bikes. Bikers here, bikers there. Girls here, girls there. It was like having a dream of a biker world. Wouldn't that be nice. It was great knowing we out numbered the cagers for a change. If only in Daytona. It was nice hearing and seeing all of the different bikes and personalities that came with them. Like I said, I loved every minute of it.
I can't thank 1of2 and misses 1of2 enough for their hospitality. Thank you guys so much. Jackal and I stayed the night at 1of2's house. They are some great people. To let some unknown bikers stay at their house.Thank you again.
Okay the story...
I met Jackal around 7:00 a.m. at JJ Plums for breakfast near my house. We met Brock and his brother at I-95 and Midway at 8:00 sharp. From there we headed North. Brock and his brother split off somewhere north of Melbourne. Jackal and I had to put on our rain gear. We were followed by a rain cloud up to route 44. We met everyone at 1of2's house around 11:30 a.m. Then the skys cleared up. It was a beautiful day. It was great meeting everyone again. (Hey Fla Glide, I let you know about my trip this summer. I think I will post a thread about it.) It was great seeing Alais again and meeting his friend. Sorry I didn't make it in time to meet Rebel's friends. Maybe next time.
From there we all headed to the racetrack. Walked around absorbing all of the eye candy we could take. Saw some beautiful designs, and the bikes were nice too. From there, we headed to Destination... It was packed. I almost burnt out my clutch getting through the lines. It was nice seeing a bike mall. How cool is that..? From there we headed back to 1of2's house. Went to dinner at a great little restaurant in dowtown Deland. I liked the waterfall. Nice touch. Good food and good friends. Headed back to 1of2's house for some coffee and chat.... Even though I was the one doing most of the talking. Murph the Motor Mouth......lol
On Sunday, it was not as nice at Saturday but still a good day. 1of2, misses 1of2, Jackal and I headed for some breakfast. Then to Destination again so I could get Kuryakyn to check out a warranty thing for me. Walked some more and then left everyone to meet my family at the flea market. Cheap shirts. 3 for 13.88 Not back shirts either. Not the same designs as at the vendors, but still nice. I waited at McDonalds for Jackal and RebelRyder. (I'll let RR tell you about his bike incident.) We finally met up and rode together. It rained off and on all the way home. Still was a nice ride even if it was at 80 mph. I broke off at Midway and gave a wave to some great friends as I watched them scoot down I-95.
Hey RR, I got your call and tried to call you back. No answer, but I assumed you got home okay. Over all it was a great time. I have the best time when I'm with my friends from the board. I have not met a member yet I did not like. Everyone I met has become a close friend to me now. I consider you all my brothers.....brothers to the end. I'm so glad I joined this forum and had the pleasure to meet every last one of you. Enough mushy stuff. We real bikers don't talk about our feelings.
I think I have typed enough. Sorry I missed the other members. You missed out on a great time. I can't wait to see SM's new paint job...... Until the Florida Rally........
Whose riding up to Ocala in the 27th......?????

MY BIKETOBERFEST WALK OF SHAME! [:@][:'(]
yep! bike died in destination parking lot sun aft. 1of2 & wife,Jackyl & Poorboy all helped as we had my bike apart in the parking lot tryin to figure out WTF was wrong. a few others we did not know alsooffered assistance. would of been afunny pic, but I don't think anyone was in the candid mood, especially me! [:@] well after3 failed push starts, I declared "dead bike walking!" [:'(]
walk of shame from front parking lot (thank God) toHD service bay. I took it like a man - the looks of pity, the finger pointing, the comments - "you need louder pipes","dead man walking", "got gas?" etc, etc. well about 1 1/2hr later & 2 ben franklins rode the bike back thru my "walk of fame". as you can guess a totally different feeling and reactions. [8D]
Icannot say enough praise about my fellow hd forum friends that day, as well as,all the others I've meetrecently too! their understanding, quick calls to action (tools, experience, etc.), words of encouragement and supportoversome cold brews did wonders for my worries. I just love the family of bikers and how we cover eachothers backs!
BTW Iplanned todayoff from work and am so glad I did as I didn't pull into my driveway until after 9pm. got just a little wet heading home, could of been much worse, but overall excellent riding. my last hour I was in a trance on auto pilot - pretty scary for I-95 in s. fla.
anyway, enough bable,I have tons of pics and will do my best to post promptly.

RE: What the hell Biketoberfest...
Meeting you guys on Sunday was the highlight of Biketoberfest 2007 for me. It was awesome to match faces and names to our screen personalities and I totally agree with that brotherhood feeling.
Seeing everyone's bikes up close and personal was a blast. It is neat seeing each little mod and then hearing the stories behind the changes made.
Rebel Ryder was a true trooper with his exterior calmness, even though we knew he hadinterior concerns. The "walk of shame" was funny. We all walked with Rebel as he was proclaiming out loud about "dead bike walking", "walk of shame", etc. And you know what, I'd say most folks in the croud all knew the feeling and were giving supportive smiles.
Jackyl, 1of2 (& Mrs.), & Murph: simply wonderful and cool to meet ya.

RE: What the hell Biketoberfest...
I'll just say this, my brother and I started out early from St. Lucie, met up with Murph and rode north for a while. We both looked at the sky, looked at eachother, then pulled into the left lane and put the hammer down, northbound style. We had a great ride north, very little rain as we seemed to stay just ahead of the bad stuff.
Pulled into destination Daytona before 11am. Within 2 hours blue skys sun shinning on us. We ate, drank, and spent money.
I spent most of my time across the road at the Battle grounds. Got to talk to Billy Lane and Eddie Trotta, gave the brothers some money to keep the wall of death alive.
I have probably over 25 pictures of chicks but they all are half naked showing thier ****, so i cant post them here.
Oh yea, so some nice bikes too.
Got lucky with timing and little rain. Great time

RE: What the hell Biketoberfest...
It wastruly a good time and I look forward to the Rally. I can't thank 1of2 and Mrs. 1of2 enough "really nice people". Reb that could have been anyone of else walking the "Green Mile", but I will have to say you handled it real well (I already pulled mine apart and greased it). You'll have to post some pic's when you get that new rim up front. Poorboy it was nice to meet you. Again I look forward to the Fla. Rally and hope for some cooler weather...
