wideglide95thand I have planned a ride around lake okeechobee on Saturday8-4-07. We will be meeting up somewhere in Okeechobee around 9:30 a.m. We would like to invite any members who would like to ride with us. It should be a great ride. wideglide95th or I will be posting more information as we work out some of the fine details. It would be nice if we had a large turn out. Hope to see some of you all there.

If you have never rode around Lake Okeechobee, you don't know what you're missing. There is a lot of scenic things to see. Awesome ride. I hope a lot of you can make it.

What time do you want to start out? That will make a difference in where to meet. Do you want to meet for breakfast or maybe lunch or do you just want to hook up and start riding and then stop somewhere later.

It's up to you guys.

Meet at the restaurant of your choice at 9:30 am. We can go around the north end of the Big O stopping at the overlooks Port Myacca, Pahokee, Slims Fish Camp, Clewiston, Moore Haven, and throw in a conveince store or 2 for a soda. Just a little ride to get away on a saturday morning.

Where are you coming from? I could meet up with you in Moore Haven to make the trip on in to Okeechobee..

 

I Live south in Pompano Beach But my brother lives right off the Sawgrass we can jump on it and hit 27 and run right through Clewiston and Moore Haven and hook up there for the rest of the way to Okeechobee to meet up with the others.I need to make sure I can get off work before I commit.This time of year I sometimes have to work on weekends.[:@] I work for a City Park and Recreation and I run a youth football program there and I need to make sure I have someone to cover me. I cant let the little guys down Ya Know.But I will work on it in the morning and make sure it happens.I think this is a great Idea. I would like to get more rides together with more people maybe ride the west coast .Maybe we could get the word out on a diffrent thread like general chat?We might be able to get a few more willing to ride. Okechobee is a cool ride around me and my brother do it all the time its not to far but far enough away you fell like you stepped back in time a little.I fyou guy have any more info let me know and I will keep you posted on the out come.

this sounds like a good day. I wish I could meet up with you guys but I am throwing my girlfriend a birthday part on Saturday at our house. So things need to get done around there. Enjoy the ride. My buddy I did that ride back in March. It was a good time.

 

Sounds like things are coming together. I hope more jump in. My group will be leaving Fort Pierce around 8:30 to meet up.
