OK... ya'll are startin to worry me with this rain issue! I am not lookin forward to drivin all the way up there to sit out the weather in a freakin hotel room~ I'll keep my eyes on the radar, and forcast for the area, but if it's lookin like there is gonna be 100% percipitation in the area, I'll be staying here in this 90* heat~ 
I let ya'll know, for sure, by Friday evening... or early Saturday if I decide to stick around here or if I'm gonna make the trip~

If the numbers allow, my wife and I have been dying to get out of Atlanta and see some of the backroads. I've just retired from the Navy and I'm back in GA for good...I hope. I've only been riding for a year after a 15 year lay off, I'm no slow poke but blazing speeds tend to cut down on the sight seeing for me (eyes are getting old I guess). Anyhow, I'll monitor this thread for responses and a firmed up meeting time and place. Hope to meet everyone soon.

I hear ya, GAGirl... that's about how "30% chance" works around these parts as well~ Typical rule of thumb goes.. 30% stay home, no rain.. 30% go for a ride, it's gonna rain!
I'll probably attempt it just for the chance to meet some of the members here anyhow... well see~

Hey Chief! Welcome aboard, Shipmate! I'm retired Navy myself (Feb '05). Honestly though, I do miss it. Had some GREAT times and have someGREAT friends. Hope you can make the trip. Would be nice to talk "Navy" again.
David and I rode to Forsyth just to make sure it would take us 30 mins. Took 26 minsto be exact. Think I will ride commando this Sunday.......meaning no windshield. [sm=smiley9.gif]Felt sooooooo good!
