In typical Harley fashion, they shot themselves in the foot when they priced the Livewire at $30,000. A local dealership was offering them at $18,000 which, by high level math, shows that they were giving a $12,000 discount!

There are very few people that are going to pay $10,000 for an electric motorcycle at this point let alone $30,000. The range just isn't there yet. Sure, the theoretical range is there if you hold constant throttle at 25 MPH for hours on end, but that's not the real world.

Yea, it's not like H-D has spent hardly any money at all on development and promotion of the LiveWire.

Have they sold more than a thousand of these bikes, yet?

At $18,000 I'll have to go visit my local dealer and see if they have any left.
