This Eighty-year-old machine is the color of money.

 

Its selling no reserve in Vegas next week......

 

The Chrome will hurt it and the fact we have been making new paint look old for 25 years

but then again it might have never been in the sun long in the past 80 years plus the sun bead on the tank is a give away DuPont tree sap paint had no clear

but it then again it's a green

 

There is soooooo much controversy over this particular machine. Todd, the owner has researched the crap out of this thing and has documentation to prove its all OEM and never painted. It sold twice before for outrageous sums of money. It sells at no reserve next week....we shall see if it sets records, again......
The chrome was an option, my 1940 has a chrome headlight, taillight, Dash, horn, as well as SS trim on the sides of and the top of both fenders and the chrome front light. The option is listed on the factory order blanks.

I have stayed away from pre 1941 machines as I seen how un reliable they can be over my time - others see that differently

cruser green is a 2 year and it does not show the right tint in pictures - is the seat cow or horse hide if you don't mind me asking

yours as I have a 1941 early bent frame with the factory repair number stamped in it - I am re doing in the original cruser green we found on the fender tabs and my research said horse hide was on the seat in tan color

 

So I guess the bidders saw the value?? It brought an astounding price....
