Today I mocked up the handlebar set up (will probably go with red coke bottle grips for final assembly).
I removed the original foot pegs and forward highway pegs and mocked up my new forward controls. They look pretty good I think. Had a few problems with final fit but I have it close enough now that I will wait until final assembly before fine tuning the fit.
The headlight is mocked up in the rough position I want - I love the look of a headlight light way out front like an old style locomotive engine LOL
The seat I ordered from BirdMans should be here in two weeks and I will figure out how I want to solid mount the seat to the frame.
I will order my bates style bullet turn signals today and hopefully have them for when I mock up my seat.
Pretty soon all the new parts will be on her and mocked up for fit and it will be time to start painting the wheels red and the frame gloss black:-) stay tuned.

Great looking bike. I had the AMF, 1978 XLT, blue, with the big 2 into 1 pipe. Went with Cycle Shack duals, S&S A/C & oil cooler.

They look like the Kraft Tech forward controls. Nothing better for IronHeads. Scroll to the end for 57 to 74 ...
