Appreciate the reply. Which sprocket would that be? Only one I can think would be the front primary drive sprocket?

yep your front primary drive sprocket has a nut under it is a washer

that could also be the washer under the clutch ball assembly in the primary

do you have a factory parts book - i dont remember what year your bike IS

The front wheel washer is 5/8" x 1-5/16" x 3/32". How does it measure up? I cannot think of another large washer like that. Are you certain it came from your bike?

Backing up a little, any pic's of the damage to the pistons, cylinders, etc?

And more importantly, did you dismantle the bottom end, press out the crank, get out all the debris? Any pic's of this process?

to date and this post is on going 4 years and the bike is still not together /// and to this date he never said what year the bike was OR if he has the proper books - the info he recieved so far has been on the mark -

DO you own a ride an Ironhead - i see a twinkie in your post / thats a far cry from a generator - carb fuel system and possibly a set of points and condenser ignition

having life issues is a thing some of us have to work through - if you need any help just ask - lots of real good guys on this site answering WHO do own and ride iron

it would help Just a bit if the next time you ask about an issue or just to say hi - post up year of the bike - is the motor same year - take some pictures of your project just from the pictures the guys will see things that may help you ID years of the parts you have - good luck
