Here's some ideas ...
- check AutoTrader, Craigslist and Kijiji for recent sales
- where i am guys ask $4500 for a bike that would sell for $2500 elsewhere; where you are matters
- Has not run for years means that it has to be completely re-built; new tires and seals; rebuild carb; brakes; probably engine; etc etc etc; it is a winter project not a bike that can be ridden this year
- it is a 45 year old bike;
- you will need a good place in which to work, lots of good tools, the factory service and parts manuals, lots of time, an understanding wife, spend lots of time on eBay searching for parts, etc etc etc
- 60s ironheads are becoming more desirable and more expensive if they are near stock; if it has the original frame and engine it is a good starting point; if in addition it has the original tins and electrical it is a rare find
- it takes an expert to identify original parts; lots of replaced stuff looks original to the in-expert eye
- it is a kick-start IronHead; they are called the Milwaulkie Crippler for a good reason; do not go at it without doing very thorough research on this topic
Just some thoughts. If you have more specific questions please ask.

Is is stock? Some stock parts are hard to find. What do you intend to do with it? Restore it to stock or make it a custom? Without a pic think 500- 1000 would be a fair price if it does not start and not rusted to pieces and the engine turns over. As IronMick said, stock brings more money on resale. If you don't have a place to do the work yourself, I personally would not attempt it. Just my opinion.

I guess I paid too much for mine then. It does have a lot of chrome , so WTF. Back in 89, I bought my first Harley, a 76 FXE, needing work for $1400, and was told it was a steal. Around 2k in parts, riding hard for 10 years on her, she sold for 6k so I did ok on her. Nice looking urrr 74? Anyway nice.
