Default Mounting a Superglide tank on Sportster

I have a 77 Sportster and want to mount a 70's superglide tank on it. It looks close but I was told there is a mounting kit for it sold. Anyone have any ideas?

The info i have is for the similar Roadster tank ...

The kit is in J&P Cycles catalog -
FX tank mount kit 1973 to 1984 720-189 $80

You can buy the individual parts separately, which i think you will need to do. The kit is not for a Sportster. The only kit part that you need is for the rear you need the horseshoe; and also for the rear an intake o-ring instead of the spring and clips.

For the front you need well nuts that you can purchase at a local hardware shop. These are rubber with a threaded metal insert ...

BTW, i have well nuts threaded for 5/16". I used to install a short 5/16" bolt on each side. That does not work very well. Better is a single long 1/4" bolt going all the way thru, ignoring the threads in the well nuts.
