I think I'm going to order in the tires and the bars next. I need to get the tires to be able to measure the offset and make the axle template so I can get the template off to a machine shop to get made etc. it looks like my best bet is going to be mock it up full use some plastic as spacers and a 1 inch wooden dowel as the axle material its cheap and lightweight I can send the whole completed wooden piece due to its light weight and send it off to the machine shop for them to make me one from billet.

 

That is an awesome stand your using there. Ill have to keep that in mind when I get started on mine in a couple of weeks. I will be doing my first ever rebuild. Got me a 71 Iron basketcase.
