Stick with the stock tach. The conversion wouldn't be worth the time, effort, or money. The stock setup works fine. You may even be able to make your own carb spacer if you can find some phenolic material and a hole saw and jigsaw.
ok. i was just thinking it may be an easy fix, and as a bonus, clean up the bike some. i was in contact with s&s and they do have a 1" carb spacer, but im waiting to see if they have anything slightly smaller..
i have limited tools and knowledge available. i think maybe i could cut it with a sawzall. or maybe a circular saw. other than that. no custom made spacers for me... its about 10-15 dollars for the smaller insulator blocks which i can stack for the correct legnth. thanks for the help!
