Hey! I've had an 1975 Iron head for a little over a yr. now. Any chance anyone could any information for resources for parts and repairs. I am fairly mechanical and like to try to do the work myself, but am kinda lost for information.

First you need these two references:
99451-78B Parts Catalog
99484-78 Service Manual

You can get these thru an HD dealership, from various catalog companies such as J&P Cycles, and from eBay.

J&P Cycles has a good reputation for customer service, parts actually in stock, good tech support, etc. But their prices can be higher than other sources ... http://www.jpcycles.com/

Sporty Specialties is a very good place to do business ... http://www.sportyspecialties.com/

If you have a local indie shop it is good to patronize them for parts etc, especially if they are ironhead knowledgeable.

Mick,
Thanks for the references ! ! I have looked in the JP catalog before, really didn't have much luck. The sporty parts catalog is awesome though!!! I believe I will probably be able to find pretty much everything I want and need for now from there!!

Many thanks man!!!
