I run mids and would like to set up the jockey shift. That way no one will ask to ride my bike !! but haven't seen a set up yet using a mid controls on an ironhead if anyone has any pics that would be cool

Who wouldn't wanna ride a bike with a jocky shift?? Not that I'd let anyone ride my bike or nuthin... lol

Your right everyone would want to ride but few people would actaully be able to! Plus I would need to add a front brake.

I think shepdog is on the right track, it sounds like the linkage is too long and the shifter is over centre. which woud make upshifting almost impossible. I would look for an adjustable linkage.

when i said i cut mine apart i mean i cut every part of them apart,had to lengthen every part of both the shifter side and the brake side, i couldnt even get my foot under the shifter before,then the throw of the shift arm was way long so i shortend up the shifter arm as much as i could just to get it to shift decent, then after alot of trial and error they were fine, prob. could have bought a "good" set but i am on a tight budget!

I like that idea about the heel shifter to.
