got the slow jet out it is a 42,170 on the main, i only have the mixture screw out about 3/4 of a turn now but it runs good starts right up runs smooth down the road, does not seem to be spraying gas anymore!, must have had it way rich on the idle mixture adjustment, yes i read ga ironheads info there is a lot of good info there! thank you for the help!

well i got ot on and it starts up and runs good, BUT how much more performance should i expect out of the cv? it starts up and runs but the stock 25+ year old keihn runs circles around the cv,it lacks bottom end mid and top end,the cv falls flat around 70mph the stock carb pulled hard way past 100 mph! i do have to run the slow adj. only about 3/4 of a turn out, any ideas what to try?

As Mick wrote that nightrider instruction about modifying CV is good source.
Drill that ventilation hole to 1/4" and put 48 intermediajet, maybe 180 main jet
add that spacer under needle..as instructed there...
