This site: http://71.42.59.226/hotxl.html has all the HotXL tech articles posted. He has had them posted for a long time, in Adobe Reader format. You may need 7Zip to unzip them [WinZip would not work for me, but i may have made an error with it]. It would be worthwhile for someone to ask him about copyright. He is very good at answering questions if you e-mail him.

Pinion, Ah, the gear shifter cam plate. That makes sense. The trans shifts and holds on the bench but that aint the "real thing" if you know what I mean. I didn't take the whole trans in to have it checked, only the gears and forks in a box. You might have hit the nail on the head (once again) . It will be a while before I get to this. I will let ya know what shakes out. Thanks again to all you guys.

I do not think that will be cheap but it could solve the problem.

There is option, if there isn't excessive wear to modify cam plate...
Most of these modifications apply also to Ironhead XR-1000 racing they are all useful specially tuned bike.
