Again i am not familiar with that particular carb so someone else may have a better answer.

If the carb has an accelerator pump then when you twist the throttle a squirt of fuel goes into the carb; if no fuel then the acc pump circuit may be clogged.

Otherwise fuel is drawn into the carb only by air passing thru the venturi and hence drawing fuel up from the bowl thru the jets - twisting the throttle only opens the gate to allow more air to pass and consequently draw more fuel up.

Hopefully more info in the reference i gave in the other post.

Since your accelerator pump's not pumpin'....your problem is either:

You're out of gas.
Your carb is gummed/stopped up somewhere.
Your accelerator pump is malfunctioning.

Make sure the petcock is turned off. Pull the float bowl off and see if it has gas in it. Turn the gas on and see if gas flows out of the carb when the float is hanging down (with the bowl off). If it doesn't, your petcock could be stopped up, a fuel passage in your carb could be stopped up, or the needle valve in your carb could be gummed up or defective.

From your previous posts, I'd now say that your 75mph problem is carb related. Make sure your whole fuel system is clean (including the inside of the tank) and check all the mechanicals inside the carb (float position, needle valve, accelerator pump, etc). I'll bet your problem is solved when you correct what's wrong there.

It's also good idea to check "coarse filter" inside of petcock, by removing petcock.
Usually there is some paint chips blocking fuel flow.

I know for a fact the accel. pump is adjustable, the manual states to adjust carb both
both interm. jet and main jet with this turned off. when the right jets are close then adjust accel. pump to the best performance. IS the bike sputtering out carb. or exshaust? which would tell you a rich/lean condiction.

I just want to remind you that when you are adjusting carb make SURE that engine is warm (=normal operating temp). If oiltank is so hot that you can't hold hand on it that's near correct temp to adjust. So go for a ride and adjust after that.
