I have this carb on my 72 IH. I made the mistake of turning the screws, because someone told me to and now I am lost! Now how do i get it back to the beginning? Do I turn the screws to the right to close them and then do what instructions say?

what I did was I turned in the screws clockwise then backed them off the little one (idle mix) 1 turn and the big one (high speed) 1.5 turns. the bike started up fine I then turned the the idel mix untill it idel good then set the idel speed at the screw on the side where the cable come in. then I ran the bike down the road and while in 2nd gear at a higher rpm reached down and adjusted the high speed mix mine stumbled a little bit at high rpm and so I had to turn the high speed mix in just a little bit more. now she runs fine after adjusting the high speed mix you mayhave to adjust the idle speed a little bit again.hope this helps

Thanks for the info! I did exactly what you said, and first push of starter button it came to life. ran rough for a few minutes, but took her out for a spin. I got the same stumble in second, but will try again next ride. I cannot tell you how much help this forum is! I am sure that I am not the only one out here that would be lost without the help. Thanks Again!
