4-4-52 to 4-26-04 Life ended as we knew it on 4-22-04

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned the Softail and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to ride, to love, or play.
Miles left unridden must stay that way.
Though I found peace at the close of day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A road once shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Yes, these things I too will miss.

But, be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you sunny roads tomorrow.
My life's been full, I savored much,
Good friends, good bikes, a loved one's touch.

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me.
God wanted me now, and I ride free.

I'm trying Babe, I really am.
