Default A life cut short

Two weeks ago my 16 year old daughter and her 15 year old best friend were killed in a car accident. It appears she missed a stop sign and was hit by 2 SUVs - one from the left that threw her into one coming from the right. Both girls were killed instantly. She was a careful driver, never used drugs or alcohol, and was generally over-cautious on the road. I really think she just made a mistake and the result happened to be catastrophic. Most of us make a mistake or two when we are first driving and we get a "do-over". She didn't.

She and I shared a love for the motorcycle and I will forever miss having her back there. She would go anywhere with me if it meant time on the bike.

I hope anyone reading this post takes a little extra time to tell their children how much they mean to them. Life is so fragile and you just never know when it will end.

I've posted a pic so you can see what the world lost.

My heart felt prayers and condolences to you for your tragic loss. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord". May God comfort you and your family.

I don't know what to say...my heart is saddened by what has happened to you and your family. I have a 17 yr old daughter that I worry about from the second she steps out the door until I hear her come home. I try to let my kids know how much they mean to me but I'm sure it's never enough.
Peace to you.

I wish I could offer more than the standard condolences, but really don't have any words that fit. Sorry for your loss.

Very sorry for your loss. She is not there in body but just look in the mirror or your families faces and you will see her every day.
May she ride the wings of your Harley to heaven.

I add my most sincere sympathies for your horrible loss! Every parents nightmare. Like the others, I wish I had the magic words to help you...also like the others, I do not. But your simple comment offers a great deal of wisdom for the rest of us, and we thank you for that! We can never tell those closest to us how much they mean too often or too much! I hope you find peace in time.
