03 security alarm password
Hi Folks,
I just recently purchased an '03 Wide Glide that had been seized and repossesed. I bought it from a Federal Marshall Sale.
I am trying to get the security system to work. I don't have the previous password, and am trying to reteach. I don't know if this is something I can do or do I have to take it to someone with a scanner to do? would appreciate any info you may have.. I can get it to start and run. I also can get security to recognize turnsignal imput. thanx,Tom[&:]

RE: 03 security alarm password
If I remember correctly, to change the security code using the left and right turn signal buttons, you need to enter the current code first. If you do not have the current code, I think you may be SOL, but check with someone in the service department to make sure. If you are lucky and the factory default code was never changed by the prior owner, you may get access by entering that code. If you want me to look in my owner's manual and get that code for you, let me know and I will check it after work this evening.

I will look it up in my security system manual and post the instructions on how to check the current code and how to change it (if you need that too) if not one has posted it by then.
Also, the harley stealer ship should be able to reset it to the default for you...they helped me resync a new fob and didn't charge anything.

RE: 03 security alarm password
Tom,
I brought the owners manual in with me to work today. On page 88 it describes how to set a personal entry code. There is a chart on pages 89 thru 93 with step by step instructions. The instructions presume that no code has been previously set, but if one has been set, you should be able to change it by following the instructions on the top of page 89. when you get to step #5 on the chart, after you press the left turn signal 1 time, if you get 0 flashes of the turn signals then no code has been set before. If a code has been set, they will flash the number of times that equal the code (5 flashes means the first number of the code is 5). You can advance the code by pressing the left turn signal button (if it was 5, pressinig it once makes the new code 6, twice makes it 7......). Continue following the chart instructions until all 5 didgits have been set.
If you do not have the owners manual, let me know and I will scan the instructions for you and email them to you.
