Default spark plug wires

Is there any gain over swapping out stock plug wires to say SE or another brand, or should I leave well enough alone? BTW, I run Autolite 4164 plugs. I currently don't have any issues, just wondering if it helps anything.

Save your money, no gain to be had unless you are having issues with the stockers. On the newer bikes, you can set a code by using some wires other than stock as it effects the ion sensing that regulates knock in the engine.

However the SE plug wires are a deal at 13 bucks a set when you need to replace yours.

HI DAWG, well I spent the $12.00 for the 8mm scremin eagle plug wire's, and it seem's to start at the first touch of starter, I was told by a TECH. you MIGHT get 1 H.P more because they are a little larger, and I also spent $15.00 for the triple platinum scremin eagle plug's and seem's to run some what better, I guess the fast starting of the motor is what I notice and my bike is 06 scremin eagle 103 FAT BOY no engine mods. so I thought could not hurt and I have never had any engine code'scome up, but saved my old wire's and plug's, but have ran new one's for 1000 mile's no probs. , but your money ask the Tech. at your dealer. GOOD LUCK PURPLE HAZE.

well in my line of buis,,, the only need for bigger wire is to support a larger load(current)
I often wonder if its a gimmick?

Thanks folks. I replaced my battery cables with some upgraded better ones. Guess I'll wait till I need new wires to worry about it.
