Gasoline Question
Here in NC we have the 10% ethanol gas in 3 different octanes just like everyone else. However, we also have some outlets that sell gas with no ethanol called recreational gas. I use it in my boat that has an outboard. Outboards have extreme issues with ethanol.
So, my question is this. Would it be better to run the premium grade with 10% ethanol in the Harley or the recreational gas that is regular in grade but has no ethanol?
Thanks.

Use what the owner's manual recommends. If it recommends premium, use the premium 10% ethanol. You don't give any specifics about your bike, but, if its a newer bike the ethanol is not going to be problematic.
You can try the Pure Gas website to see if there is any ethanol-free premium in your area. I have at least one station close to me that sells premium ethanol-free gas.

I agree. Make sure you use premium and buy what you can find. If you have a touring bike AND tour... you will end up with lesser grades of gas. If a 2010 bike or newer, you can get by with buying a small amount of crap gas, at at first decent station, fill er up with better gas. It will automatically pull some timing if need be, if a 2002 up touring and 2003 up Dyna, softie.
Rec gas is OK, don't run Av Gas, tho.
