i'm coming across several tuners saying they will go through 3 runs on my bike, and will pick the best one that suits it. are you guys actually dynotuning the bike or just running 3 different maps and picking the best one for my bike??? confused!!!

 

Hey, veeman, I hope there is no confusion about what we discussed. If you have ANY questions or there is something you are'nt sure of then give me a call.

 

I'm not a tuner but my experience with them is that they find a map that is close to your configuration. Then they make as many runs as necessary to adjust the over 200 settings for optimum performance. Afterwards you will walk away with your own custom map on a CD or USB drive.

The only time I've heard of the 3 runs is when you take your HOG to a tuner and ask him for the performance charts. In other words, he's not tuning just providing the current performance. They charge around $100 for the three runs. It's more like $250 for tuning and then they'll make as many runs as necessary to get it right.

I've had some good discussions with Dynodue and next time I'm in San Diego I'll have him tweak mine. My tuner is north in Chatswroth. I have my custom map and I can reload it myself if he doesn't make an improvment. But based on our discussion I believe he could improve either performance or mileage.

Give him a shot. He's the only one in San Diego that I've spoken with that has a clue.

I'm replacing my Rinehart 2-1 with Big Bos Fatcat 2-1. Rinehart performance if fine but the quality of Bub pipes sucks! I'm supposed to swap out pipes and dyno Friday. How late are you guys going to be there?

 

Sorry, as you know by now, can't get you any sooner than Fri., but we are on schedule, so I'll see you in the morning. I'll be in around 8:30-9:00, and I'm always there until 6:00 and usually later, so come on by. I'll be there on Sat., but only until 2:00.
