Professional SERT tuning scheduled, ? questions to ask?
I've finally gotten an appointment with a professional SERT tuner for next Friday. I've got to travel a little distance but it's going to be worth it. Are there any questions I should ask him besides getting a copy of his final map? I really wouldn't mind a little more sound so I wonder if taking the baffles out before tuning is a good idea or might that hurt the torque numbers?

Where did they get their SERT training..... The only TRUE HD approved course is out of Milwaukee, at HDU...
How much Dyno tuning experience do they have?
Request Pre and Post tune Step and Sweep sheets for validation of correct tune....(0, 2, 5, 10,...... 80, 100% at load)
Ask for a copy of your map, and ask what kind of media you need to bring, so they can transfer it....
Ask what their policy is on Returns due to popping, farting, or excessive fuel consumption... Will they re-tune and at what cost?
Don't remove the baffles, it makes for a harder tune, and an erratic Flow in the VE tables....
You need some back-pressure for scavenging...

Thanks from me also Bob. The only questions I asked the service advisorwas were they trained at HDU &how much experience they had. I assumed that they would give me a pre & post sweep sheet but I will ask for it. Per your advice I'll leave the baffles in.
