1992 Dyna LowRider issues
Buddy of mine has a 1992 Dyna Evo, Basically stock.
Problem is bike will start and idle fine, put it into gear and try to take off maybe get 100 ft and the bike dies. New plugs and wires, checked all electrical connections and still can't keep it running, is it a good time to rebuild the carb?

This just all of a sudden started happening, or was it gradual? Has the bike been sitting?
Sounds like fuel supply is enough to start and idle but runs dry when throttled up. If it was me, and it is not, I would check there is enough good gas, petcock full on, no apparent leaks, strainer and fuel hose clear ...lazy way is disconnect line at carb with fuel cap loose...gas ought to flow fast into your container...if none of that works then I would at least clean the carb especially inlet and jets.

Thanks for the input.
Was a gradual issue, went out and tried to start it and only spun up.
Pulled Air filter and checked fuel flow from the tank to carb, all good.
could smell gas, so it should at least start, didn't. Looked on the coil side ( only thing I didn't look at ) messed with wires and the wire to the modual fell off in my hand. Hooked it back up and started right up. Blasted off down the road and no problems. Some bonehead in the past had done a repair on the wire and done a bad job!!
Saved my buddy a couple hundred bucks having the local stealer do the work.
Gotta love it!
