Default Do i need to retune

I have the stage 1, se/acwith hd download on a 2006 wg. I installed Big City Thunder baffles in my SE IIs this weekend. I really love the new sound. The only concern I have is that I get a slight pop on decel and just a tad of surging when going slow in first or second. Not hardly noticable, but I am analwhen it comes to how it is running. Anyone else have this set up with just the hddownload? I guess I am worried about running to lean and causing damage. I know a sert or the like would solve the problem just don't have the funds for now. If it is going to cause damage I would just take them back out and put the stock baffles back in until I can afford a tuner. But man, I love the sound!

I'm not a wrench by long shot but I think if your bike is poping and hic-uping on accel. it is most likelylean now, you could pull plug's and see if white then that is sure sign of lean, but howmany mile's so far with new baffle? that would give plug's chance to get white, but if you can wait re-install stock baffle's and save for S.E.R.T. and dyno-tune, and if you can save more, not knocking your pipe's but invest in a nice quality header or the two pipeset up and K&N filter and your bike well run better than new. my 2 cent's ,GOOD LUCK, PURPLE HAZE

Thanks for the response! Got back in town yesterday and rode some. Now have a little over 200 miles on the baffles. Still accelarates awesome, runs great at cruising speed. Still pops everynow and then on decel and slight surging at very low speeds. Pulled plugs and they actually look pretty good. thanks again for the response

I'm running the same baffles in my SE-IIs also. I have a PCIII. I tuned out the popping on decell with the SE-II baffles, but it returned with the BCT baffle installation. I pops and snarls a bit on hard decelleration, but I'm not concerned about it. It actually sounds kinda cool. Looking forward to a full dyno tune before getting into the summer riding season. Then I'll have a agod map for the PCIII

It does sound pretty cool doesn't it!! Mine do not pop to much on decel, atleast not as much as when i had stock a/c with the seII and no download. The other thing is I get some low speed surging. The plus is, I love the sound of the bct baffles, acclerates better (IMO) and smoother running at cruising speeds (Interstate).
