RE: fuel pak??, your thoughts
Oh, forget to say .. I also have Rev 12 so its the latest.
Swapped over to the FP-0616 settings this morning... will be riding soon today.
On zeroing the unit... Im just curious that if I disconnect the power for an extended length of time orremove the unit to sell it,will the FP ever go back to zero like it was when I bought it...or does it always retain the latest program installed. Curious minds need to know

RE: fuel pak??, your thoughts
Update on the Fuelpak:
Went to Leavenworth, WA. this weekend, first fill up90.1 miles and 2.4 Gallons of fuel, 37.5 miles per gallon.
Second fill up 112.3 miles and 2.6 gallons of fuel, 43.2 miles per gallon.
Two up the whole time. When I first installed it I was worried that it might be running a little rich but now I think it must about right. It is running very well and much cooler and still no decel popping at all. I am very satisfied with it so far.

RenoGlide,
I posed that same question to Adam at V&H about the reset.
He said you start the new settings from 1 and once you get to mode 18 it resets for the new setting.Pick your new setting and start all over and follow original instructions.
Keep us posted on the results.

The Thunder-Max W/Auto-Tune goes even further, and replaces the narrow-band O2 sensors with wide-band O2 sensors. It constantly adjusts the AFR from start up to shut down. An $869.00 price tag though.

I went with the Cobra FI2000 system on my '07 Heritage (at my dealer's suggestion). It is about the only system out there that retains the function of the O2 sensors. They are there to make the bike run better... why not use them? The cobra system runs great - mapping is spot on, no backfiring on decel, etc. Other mods to my bike are the SE air cleaner, and V&H big shots long. --Karl

RE: fuel pak??, your thoughts
I just purchased V&H slipons and the SE air filter unit...... The local dealer by my house told me that all i need was the HD download, and that i dont need any Modules, ....i hope this is true.... but i am staring to think its too good to be true, unless maybe it will run fine, and most other dealers are looking to see me parts/labor and DYNO time for something sopposidly minor aftermarket addons....
I AM TOTALLY WORRIED ABOUT ALL THIS....

RE: fuel pak??, your thoughts
I purchased the Fuelpak to go along with my V&H True Duels and Ovals right after purchasing my '06 RK. I must admit, had I done more homework I might have gone with the PCIII, as it seems to have more "programability". I am also running the K&N RK-3909 set up for my intake. Since I have nothing to gauge the Fuelpak against, I would say it's doing it's job. I do however get some backfiring on throttle let off which is a bit irritating at times. I have run the same V&H map since installation, does anyone know if you can call the Customer Service folks to get them to "tweak" the map to reduce backfiring?
Regardless, I eBayed mine for about $200 bucks, so overall I would say it was a pretty good buy.
