RE: fuel pak??, your thoughts
These are just my 2 cents. I installed big shots duels on my SG, power pack and hypercharger. Once the bike was started it was running rich. So much that it was running rough and black smoke out of the pipes at start up. I was using the correct map. I called V&H and Adam gave me a call back with a new map. He said that the new map was slightly leaner. The bike runs flawlessly now. Runs smooth and no decell pop. I’m very happy with the way it runs now, just wanted to let everyone know that V&H tech support will work with you on any issues that you have. I don't know what all the settings mean and they can keep it a secret, I don't care as long as they make my bike run well.

RE: fuel pak??, your thoughts
well, first I had the tourque smooth 903 flash done at the dealler,,, great improvemen, no ping/spark knock.. 4/01
Then I installed Supertrapp SE's slipons,,, gret sound for a touring bike,,, louder lower rumble ,
not like the "bark" of most harleys 4/02
Today threw on the fuelpak, with a K&N replacement filter, drilled out stock backingplate!
Although today it was 45 dgrees, the ride was what I've been lookin for all along!
no more noises, tourque pulled like crazy, the bike is SWEEEEET,,
now have to wait for a 80 degree day to be sure,,, oh yea I also switched to Mobil 80/140? w
syn. gear oil in the tranny,,, hardly any noise.
I admit , this bike new had me worried, but seems like Ive worked most of it out,
by the way the Fuel pak was a pretty simple install, ez to program, NO computer!
thats it in a nut shell for now.

I went with the Cobra FI2000 system on my '07 Heritage (at my dealer's suggestion). It is about the only system out there that retains the function of the O2 sensors. They are there to make the bike run better... why not use them? The cobra system runs great - mapping is spot on, no backfiring on decel, etc. Other mods to my bike are the SE air cleaner, and V&H big shots long. --Karl

The Thunder-Max W/Auto-Tune goes even further, and replaces the narrow-band O2 sensors with wide-band O2 sensors. It constantly adjusts the AFR from start up to shut down. An $869.00 price tag though.

RE: fuel pak??, your thoughts
Ive been dealing with an injured hamstring so I couldnt walk good much less ride for 2 weeks...I did get out today for 100 miles. I like the SE mufflers...the Open end grooved caps are louder than the Tapered caps.
My setting is the FP-0842 that I listed earlier ... most others said they were running FP-0616
I will admit, Im not exactly happy with the current setting of FP-0842 , runs ok but seems sluggish with retared timing ... just does not have any snap to it.
So because of the different program listed here, during my downtime... I emailed V&H 3 different requests for a setting based on the stock 07 motor, Ness BigSucker & Supertrapp SE's...I also called them again. I was emailed3 different setting numbers.
FP-0842 (again)
FP-0616 ( 2 times)
FP-0617
I will re-program it to night for the FP-0616 and ride it tomorrow.
Question: How long do I have to leave it disconnected for the unit to reset back to Zero. I know I can easily change it to FP-0616... just wondering about the zero reset.
