Probably not.

Spend the bucks on a tuner. You say you won't do anything else to your '14. Well, that's what you will say right now... how about next year when you want cams? The price difference in having a dealer put in a crap flash and getting a flash tuner isn't much. What if the crap flash isn't any better than what you have now. This is highly likely as the HD crap flash isn't really for your bike. You've wasted your time and money.

Buying a flash tuner will give you a much better calibration than any HD flash can by far.

I had an idea that would be the case.

Your neighbor is just trying to be helpful but you received about a grand in free parts from your friend. Why is it that he told you to buy a tuner? Because he knows something you don't....

You are way ahead of the game. Grab up a flash tuner that is easy to use and learn the process.

Hope you know your 14 will need a AC back plate made for a 14, yes? The base is different. You can use an older style but will need to modify it a bit.

Yes, way ahead of the game for sure. Just thought I could save a few more bucks. And thanks for the heads up on the back plate for the AC. I WILL be buying a new tuner.
