06 Night Train... Bike cranks ok but wont start... no trouble codes.... ckd for fuel-ok... ckd for spark-none... ckd power to coil-ok but drops to .12v after 2 sec... ckd power to system relay-ok... i cant figure out why power to coil drops? Normal?? Any experts out there... what do i ck next??

 

I would be looking for a loose wire . maybe try unplugging ECM connection and pluging back in . To try something ? Maybe a bad run/ stop switch on handlebar controls too.

 

Does this bike have an add on tuner like a Fueler or PC3? Spark won't show up if you are trying to hang a spark plug off of a plug wire, while grounded. It will spark once then die. So in you testing, you need to remember this. Without the plug in the cylinder, the ECM senses there is no compression and turns of spark.

Check spark with one of those things you clip onto the wire.

Oh... if it does have an add on thingy, try unplugging that and try to start with the bike back to stock configuration.

Have you worked on the bike? Didd you do ANYTHING before putting it away for the winter? Anything at all?

Do you hear the fuel pump prime the system when you turn the key on?

 

Thanks for your knowledge guys..... I unplugged the ECM, checked for any bad connection, plugged it back and bike still wont start. Run/stop switch on handle bars work and it does prime my fuel pump. I had nothing done on my bike, rode it one night and the next day it didnt start. I ride it 3-4 times a week. I do have a Fueler and I will disconnect it and try if it starts.

 

wurk truk YOU are the MAN!!! Removed my Dobeck Performance TFI fueler and bike started up.....
I have Stage 1 with aftermarket parts, can i still ride my bike? Any recommendations on a new fueler??
