Has anybody had to have the liner inside the fuel tank redone?
Just pulled my sons tank off his bike to get ready for paint, pulled out the fuel pump and the liner inside looks as if it is melting/peeling.

 

If the liner is peeling...remove as much as possible and re-line.

Some liners work better than others. I suggest Caswell Epoxy Gas Tank Sealer.

Used it to line a fiberglass BSA tank (45 yrs old). The new ethanol blends attack fiberglass. Worked great and there's no way this will peel off.

Follow the prep and install instructions carefully and there will be no issues.
