RE: Are PCIII's compatable across HD models??
Sorry but your wrong. They all plug in the same you just have to install the proper map. I just installed an 07 model on my 2006 glide classic last nite. I was told this by a pcIII dealer and he was closing out his pcIII's cause he was going to sumpin else? Got one heck of a deal..I put mine on last nite put the map i needed in and went for a ride. Runs great and no decell popping Used the canned map -218 for s/e slipons air filter and stock ecm..

RE: Are PCIII's compatable across HD models??
Im sorry I should have taken this a little farther. It was explained to me that all the plugins for Harley are the same. I dont know how they are mapped stock out of the box but the maps get changed anyway. I was told the different part numbers for harley was just so Dynojet has a record on how many sold for each model. Like i said i just put one on for an 07 and the model number didnt match the one for my bike but it doesnt matter. Just d/l the map you need and set the throttle position and i also used the rev extend which requires a firmware update that was on the cd with mine. Thats That.. It is a little tricky doing the firmware up grade. You need it hooked up to a 9v battery and i bought 2 new batteries and neither one would run the PCIII. Being into ham radio and having electronic stuff all over the house i found a 9v battery eliminator and hooket to an extension cord and the pcIII and that got me going. Seems the pcIII's are very sensative to a full 9v to work.
