Help with a Cali bike
Ok so I bought a bike out of Cali and I need to remove the carbon canister so that I can install my Arnott compressor for the air shocks. The canister is in the way.
Has anyone remove this from a 2013 FLHX? What do I need to do? Any parts I need to by in order to remove it?

It sounds like it's a simple process of unbolting and unplugging things. I just wonder if it will throw a check engine light when you remove it.
I'm not sure but I think the gas cap would also have to be replaced with a 49 state one and the vent port on the tank plugged.
From what I understand (though I could be wrong) the CA gas caps don't work conventionally, all the venting is done through the evap system. (don't hold me to this)
EDIT: I was just looking at my service manual, on a Softail you have to remove the primary to remove the canister, if I were you I would head over to the dealer and get the service manual for your bike.

My local HD dealer is closed until Jan 7 so I bought a manual online. It walked me through the process of removing it……and with the help on Tony at Top Shop, I know what I have to do once its removed.
oh and the air ride system is in…sweet
