Changed my mind again, I am going to go with a sert after all. After way to much reading and researching I decided it would be the best option long term. I was quoted $459.00 for the sert, 37.50 installed with map and will dyno at a later time. This is from Shumate HD in Spokane, WA. I am going to try to take Friday off and get it done but my job has sent me 2 1/2 hours away from home this week so I will see how it goes.

I have installed my slipon's and two different dealers assured me that I could install my K&N 3909 and ride the 110 miles to get the sert installed without hurting anything. Is this true or should I wait to install a/c?

You can get a sert just about anywhere for $370. You will need to buy the cables. $24

If you have access to a laptop you can install the map yourself. It is not rocket science.

I love it when they charge you to install it. You hook it up and access the ecm. It records your vin to the sert and it is "installed"

This will take all of 20 min.

I'm glad to hear you changed your mind to a SERT. You can buy a SERT for $370 and $25 for cables and your done. Fuel pack, Power commander and so on costs around $300 and you should still get the Stage one download $150 to raise your rpm limit and as a backup incase of fuel pack failure for a total of $450. SERT is cheeper in the long run and no piggyback module to mount or worry about.

I am just going to go ahead and let the dealer install it, they have it in stock.
