I've spent many hours reading posts on this site but this is my first thread. I have a 1981 FLT which is my first Harley. It came to me in pieces and its now finally on the road. I've been looking into upgrading the ignition system which is stock. Any tips or recommendations on which brand/style/type (single fire, dual fire etc) would be appreciated.

A popular brand of ignition module for that era is Crane. They make modules that fit inside the timing cone and replace the points, also a complete kit including matching coil, leads etc - a one stop shop! I always get confused by the words used to describe firing both cylinders together, or separately! Doesn't matter for a road bike, so chose the cheapest!
