Any problems with the power commander v? Thinking about getting one! Didn't see a thread about it! Pros and cons?

it's a good device for it's intended purpose and audience

Pros
Less expensive than other full blown tuning devices
Allows adjustments of AFR and few other tables
No steep learning curve
quick to install
lots of maps available from DJ and FM if you purchase from FM
doesn't marry itself to the bike

Cons
No where near the flexibility of a full blown tuning device
Can't adjust important areas such as EGR and Timing that are affected by pipe and A/C changes
piggy back device must stay plugged into the ECM at all times

I'm sure others will chime in with things I haven't mentioned.

Late to the thread, but still have .02. The PCV does allow ignition advance and retard in the same manner as fuel table entry. It does not lose tune if disconnected, not sure why you would want to, bike will revert to stock until tuner reinstalled. Easy to make your own changes, tons of maps available, rev extend and accelerator pump opinions vary...
