It was caused by me. Number one the oxygen sensors and the ecm can fall out of calibration. I've never calibrated mine but I will when I change the exhaust. I was taught to tine by reading plugs not just setting AFR by a console. So if your oxygen sensors aren't calibrated your afr isn't going to be right based on what you see on the computer. Read your plugs! You can change the afr on the console up or down despite the O2 sensors being out of calibration. Once you get that bike running right the ecm will keep your target in closed loop and still adjust the fuel maps for open loop to match what it thinks it sees. Yes this is annoying. I rather have it reading an afr of 14:1 not 13.5 but my plugs tell me afr is spot on, timing is great and my oil tempurature never gets above 210 even on 90f days.
