When you reset the throttle position and click the save button, do you then need to re-download the map back into the power commander unit, or will it make the change directley to the unit as you save it....sounds stupid I know, but can not find anywhere if the throttle position is saved on the laptop automaticly or saved to the power commander itself when you click save...

After saving the map, you need to redownload to the power commander. Just plug it in and download it. Takes about 30 seconds...

The throttle position can only be set while hooked to the bike. The throttle position is stored in the PCIII not in the map. Reloading a map does not change or reset the throttle position. The throttle position can be set with the bike running or with the ignition on and the run switch on, bike not running. Most suggest the bike be running and at normal temp.
