Default Carburetor problem 1998 Evo

My 1998 Harley evolution engine starts up and idles fine with the choke on but shuts down immediately upon removing the choke. I have tried setting the idle screw to a higher position or holding the throttle open some to no effect. Any ideas? Thanks

The problem could be that the idle circuit is blocked, or there is an intake leak.

Kill two birds with one stone: remove the carb, disassemble and clean it, and replace the intake seals between the manifold and the heads.

Watch for the tiny washer and o ring when you remove the low speed adjusting screw.

Also inspect the seal where the carb mounts into the manifold.
