Good morning everyone, I would like to know if anyone knows what could be wrong with the bike. I have a 2002 Harley Electraglide police. between Jan 2012, and today 09-14-2013 I have replaced the voltage regulator twice I have used the following. Accel 201134C Chrome Motorcycle Voltage Regulator for Harley-Davidson .yesterday I was riding it all of a sudden I smell something burning then the bike just quit no power at all. it was a nice day no rain temperature was about 98 degrees f. can any one help?

Sounds as if you have a charging circuit problem! Go to the DIY Electrical section where you will find a couple of Stickies that will help you diagnose the cause. That is probably your stator, I would guess, which is burning out your regulator with excess voltage.
