Changing Air Cleaner

Changing Air Cleaner
I have a 2003 FXSTDI and I am thinking of changing the air cleaner breather. I am new to EFI and don't know much about them. I currently have a Wimmer Intake and my exhaust are the Big Radius 2 in 2. If I change will I need to make any adjustments for it to run correctly?
Thanks in advance.

It won't matter much if you go from one high flow intake to another. But if you don't have a tuner the bike has already been running too lean. There's all kinds of options, depending on your budget and how much you want to get involved in the process.
Starting with an XIED you can spend about $100 and these will trick the ECM into adding fuel. Another option is the dealer download but it costs a lot and keeps the bike running in a lean condition, so I feel it's a waste.
Besides those, there is the V&H Fuelpak, not a true tuner but can improve how the bike runs. Then you get to the real tuners- Power Vision, TTS, SERT, ThunderMax and others. Some will require a dyno tune, some don't.
There's tons of threads here on all of those, so do some research and see what makes sense to you.

Like I said, you're probably OK with any intake you put on. You want to know if you retune it. If it's already tuned for the Wimmer that same tune should work for the new one. The question is- are you currently running a tuner? If you don't have one you should get one.

Shouldn't it?
It runs like a top. No pops or back fires, no missing, accelerates great.

You're right, it should have been tuned for the stage 1 mods. If you can ask the previous owner that would be the best way.
Some tuners are piggybacked onto the stock ECM. These are easy to spot. The others, not so much. A dealer should be able to tell you if the bike has had their download. Or they can see where there is a connection to hook up to another tuner that tweaks the ECM.
The good news is that your bike runs great. Can't ask for much more than that. It would be nice to know what you have, if nothing else but for future reference.

I checked under the seat and didn't see anything obvious like power commander or anything.
I guess it could be some type of download huh?
If I change it out and it doesn't run like I want it I can always buy one of those power visions (or something similar) and program it myself, can't I?
