Bad ground somewhere and it is trying to ground through the turn signal. Is there a ground wire from the riser bolt to the tree? Also check the battery cables at the battery post.

You have the code b1125 and you know what it means but you need the EDM to follow through on the fix.

Disconnect TSM/TSSM and turn the ignition on with run switch set to run and using a multimeter check for voltage between the (5) violet wire and the (12) black wire with green stripe.

If no voltage is present replace the TSM/TSSM if voltage is present then proceed to next step.

With ignition off disconnect turn signal indicator connector from under dash then turn ignition on and test for voltage between the same wires as before if voltage is present then you have a short in the violet wire somewhere to power not to ground on the bike and if no voltage is present then you have to replace the dash indicator lights.

My bet is you have the violet wire shorting out on another live wire somewhere in the handlebars or in one of the connectors but that is something you will have to locate because no-one can solve that over the internet.

Good news fellas. The quest is over... and I didnt have to get HD involved. Turned out to be rubbed and frayed wires under the rear fender. I guess the luggage and passenger was too much for my lowered rear end. I will def raise it for the next trip.
