Default How do I get a Tmax to 'autotune'?

Bike is a '09 Super Glide Custom. 103" w/ ported heads and Wood TW555 cams. I've got about 500 miles on the build. Runs awesome, no issues whatsoever. I'm running map #786 in the Thundermax.

My question is I've seen references in several different threads about setting the Tmax to Autotune mode and putting some miles on it under varying conditions. I'm a bit confused. I thought the Tmax was always autotuning? How do I get it into Autotune mode? I'm assuming I hook it up to my laptop and turn something on, but I haven't figured it out and reading the PDF bible that comes with it I can't seem to figure it out either.

If your TMax has the autotune module this is done automatically. To check on its progress, link up the bike and go into the TMax Control Center.

I wonder if you're referring to the " Accelerated Auto Map Procedure"? It is explained on page 58 in my manual. Ride for 30 miles or so then link to the Module and read the map. Select TMax Control center, review Auto Tune Checkup and run Auto Map if advised. Repeat and usually the second time it will state no further adjustments are necessary.

The manual can be downloaded from TMax web site.

I have a 2011 FLHTCU with the 96 and a 2012 FLHTK with the 103 and run this procedure a couple times a year or whenever a new map update comes out.
