09 Heritage ignition fuse problem...
I took a 2 hour ride last night & my 09 Heritage was running great. All of a sudden it shut down & would not start. No fuel pump response & a dead start switch. All else was fine but I couldn't read any codes due to the problem. I thought it might be the alarm fob battery as the alarm wouldn't respond & I couldn't even get into the bypass alarm using the blinkers. It was late so I had it flat beded to my house. It turned out the 15 amp ignition fuse was fried so I put in a new fuse and all is well. No codes now & the alarm is fine. I will take apart & look at the right switch housing to see if there are any pinched wires. Any other ideas on what could have blown the fuse? TIA.

Well you have to follow the grey wire from the RHS controls and the Black wire with a white stripe.
Black wire with white stripe feeds power to the ECM when run/stop switch is set to run.
Grey wire feeds from the ignition fuse and runs to the run/stop switch to feed the black wire with the white stripe and also the grey wire runs off the TSM/TSSM and supplies power to that as well.
You must have a short somewhere and if it is not in the RHS controls then it could be anywhere from there down to behind the splash guard in front of the rear wheel.
Good luck.

Problem solved. The Thundermax wire that plugs into the diagnostics port had a exposed wire due to rubbing on a sharp edge. It wore through the shrink wrap & wire. There's not enough room under the seat! I found a better place to route it. I may shorten it as it's about 10" too long. Thanks for the suggestions.
