Thanks for the response.
Haven't had the SG in to Roeder yet as I am trying to sort out a couple warranty issues with the local dealer before investing anymore money into the bike.
Man do I wish you guys could do primary Harley warranty work !
If I still have the bike it will certainly be coming to you for the extended warranty work, and any upgrades done to the bike from this point forward.

I here you. We an do the extended warranty work but not the HD work. I responded to you in PM but i'll post it here as well, for others to see. When the primary chain adjuster is to tight it pulls against the tranmission main shaft bearing and can/will eventually cause a bearing failure. The part you need to know is why is the self aduster tightening it that much? The answer is that the adjusters works by a spring loaded ratcheting mechanism. When there is a loose part of the chain the adjuster ratchets up a notch tighter. But once it tightens itself it cannot loosen itself back up.

This is why I run the Hayden adjuster. Constant pressure applied using a spring load on the chain. Gives when it needs to give, tightens when it needs to remove slack.

And, it's why I run the Baker Attitude adjuster. We have all seen how bad the stock chain adjuster is. So much so... MOCO now offers a SE version of the chain tensioner!

Hayden would work well for you.

Hows about the Harley SE primary chain tensioner any experience with these?
Just looking at making this upgrade without affecting the warranty so I figure if I use the Harley SE tensioner then hopefully it won't affect my warranty like a aftermarket part might.
