Default Power commander/auto tune/engine check light ?

Been a long day, but finally got the 2012 WG up and running, but I now have an engine check light on.

Probably to frustrated to see a cure, but any idea's on what I need to do or is possibly wrong??

2012 wg with T-man cams, Revolution stage 2 heads, Rinehart 2 into 1 pipes, DK air cleaner and Power Commander 5 and Auto tune modules.

TIA

Al

Have you tried removing the Power Commander to see if the check engine light goes off? That is the easiest first step.

Before disconnecting the PCV, have you checked what code(s) are triggering the CEL? That should be your first step. There's hundreds of codes that could be triggering the CEL so speculating is not an option.

No, I haven't. I'm having trouble finding the sequence to bring the code up and a list of codes in the manual, but it was late.

Thanks
Al

Search has found a way to access codes, I'll see what comes up.

Ok, codes I get are from the Emc y section and are
P0031
P0051
P00134
P00154

And Pn 0011118-01 shows up.

It looks like the 31/51/134/154 are O2 sensor errors and I'm wondering if the auto tune may not be set up right??

I thought it was plug and play, but it's funny these codes are for the O2 sensor and they are wired to the Auto tune. ??

Not sure what the Pn 0011118-01 is for though..anybody?

P0031, P0134 & P0154 are normal with the PCV. That is because you disconnect the 02 sensors when installing the PCV so the ECM thinks there is a problem. Typically those codes as a result of the PCV installation will not set a CEL.

The wide band 02 sensors installed with the autotune will never set a code or CEL because the ECM doesn't recognize them. They operate outside the scope of the ECM.

I'm not sure what P0051 is as it is not listed in the Electrical Diagnostic Manual. Are you sure that wasn't P0151? P0151 is also related to the 02 sensor function and/or lean condition, although that is different than what I see on my bike. The only codes triggered by the PCV on my bike are P0031, P0134 & P0154. I'm not really sure why you are seeing P0151.

I would try clearing the codes, see which ones return and what the CEL does.

I was sure it read with two zero's but the read out of the diagnostic codes show only one zero.

Did find out by calling Moto Fuel that the ECM wasn't seeing the sensors and you had to install the two dummy plugs in the original sensor connections.

I don't remember seeing that in the install manual, but may have missed it, either way light is gone now.

Thanks all.

Al
