I have a 2009 Ultra Classic and since the bike has been a year old I keep having this problem... I have had it at 3 different dealers and they can not figure it out. I will be riding and the light comes on and I lose all control of my throttle. It does nothing but idles. I turen bike off, wait a while, wiggle systen relay then it starts. Sometimes this happens 3 or 4 times whiler riding or its ok for days without a problem. I have had the throttle cartridge changed out twice so I know its not that. Someone told me to change the whole fuse box out. I also have had it checked out at 1 dealer and he said it was the system relay, he changed it and it ran fine for about 3 months then the problem started all over again.Anyone have any suggestions? Do you ever cut off the engine and let it coast before parking? I have had something similar happen to me once. Took it to the dealer and that's what I was asked. Reason given to me is that the ECM reads some sort of memory of the last RPM before killing the engine. Therefore, I gave it a shot after I disconnected the battery to clear any memory, ensured to not kill the engine, letting it coast before parking and the issue has never occurred again. Just a thought and sharing my experience. Good luck.

 

try using the updated pins (2010 and newer) on the throttle body end.

 

hit a pothole bike went into limp mode shut off started right up had vance and hines fuel pak on it took it off never happened again should I clear codes ?

 

This exact same thing started happening to me today! 2009 Street Glide with V&H Slip-on's, PC5. It's done it three times to me this afternoon, once on ride into town (12 miles) and then twice on return trip after sitting in parking lot for about 30 min.
