Tuning for cams quesion
I installed a set of tw222 cams in my 2012 Deluxe 103ci over the winter and haven't had time to take it in to get dynoed yet, I'm running a PowerVision but since the 2012 uses 12mm o2 sensors and my true duals were ordered before I bought the power vision I cannot get the autotune pro set up on my bike.
I'm currently running a tune dynojet has on their site for a 2012 deluxe with vance & hines true duals to get me close to my sampson set up but since I've installed a cam I assume everything changes.
I'm curious what the experts would do to my tune to make it run the best until I can get it to a dyno and get a real tune done (may be a month or more since the best tuner in town is booked up for a bit and its getting warm enough to ride. )
Thanks

I'm no expert but the tunes on DJ website are generic starting tunes. I would contact Jamie at FuelMoto or go to their website and fill in the form to request a tune. FM tunes will be real close and will require you making 3 or 4 auto tune basic runs to dial it in.
If you're wanting to tune with the PRO, you'll need to add 18MM bungs to your true dual headpipes

Tuning is basic should bring it in close.
Yes, a cam change will really need a new tune, same with the pipe swap. Together? You WILL need a tune. Tune it in Basic and then ride the bike in the areas you basic tune it in. Look for a base cal that uses SE 255 cams and that should be a decent starting point.
To ride the bike? No matter what base cal, you really need to do some tuning runs to get the VEs kind of squared away and look at knock recordings, also.
Nothing wrong with basic at all. You should be able to cover most of the map using this. The AT100 kit just allows you to get the points at high map and at high RPM. Tune it, ride it, and.... NOT like ya stole it and you should be fine, until you can get a Dyno Tune done.
